London 2012 composition competition for new music
New Music 20×12 is a music competition that will tie in with the 2012 Olympic Games in London. It is one of many arts programmes being run for the Games, and has been established by the PRS for Music Foundation in conjunction with the BBC and Sound and Music.
20 pieces of original music 12 minutes in length will be selected by a panel of experts, and the winning entries will be awarded an official commission. The compositions can be in any genre, but must be inspired by the Games.
