Music Matters launches today

Horace Trubridge, speaking on behalf of the Musicians Union, writes for Music Supported Here: Any initiative that encourages people to discuss music and the internet is a good thing. From what we understand, the Music Matters kite mark shows fans that wherever you see the logo, you have the confidence in knowing that this is a safe place to download music.

But does the kite mark show that this is a site which offers a good deal for musicians? We would like to know on what terms you get the kite mark. It may be good for the record companies but is it good for the musicians?
