Intellectual property at London College of Communication

The London College of Communication is holding a two part event entitled ‘The art of sound: IP rights for music-focused digital artists’ during April.

The first module, ‘Issues of authorship – IP contracts between collaborative artists’, will take place on 21st April from 6-8pm. The second module, ‘Contracts between artists and live venues’ takes place on the 28th April from 6-8pm.

Own-it, an organisation that provides intellectual property advice for creative businesses, has invited sound/performance artists Gary Stewart and Trevor Mathison of Dubmorphology to speak about their experiences as performers and collaborators in the discussions which will be chaired by Gaylene Gould and Indie Choudhury respectively. The discussion will be followed by an hour’s drinks/networking opportunity.
